New Jersey Supreme Court Grants Sbaiti & Company’s Application for Multicounty Litigation Designation in High-Stakes Roundup Lawsuits

Newark, NJ June 24, 2025 – New Jersey based attorneys Asim M. Badaruzzaman, Matthew Sicheri, and Glenn Kohles of Sbaiti & Company, alongside Motley Rice LLC, Weitz & Luxenberg PC, and Napoli Shkolnik PLLC, have successfully secured Multicounty Litigation (MCL) designation from the Supreme Court of New Jersey on behalf of Plaintiffs in ongoing litigation against Monsanto and Bayer AG for their Roundup products.

Sbaiti & Company submitted Plaintiffs’ application for MCL designation to the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts on February 27, 2025, detailing the forty-one cases involving Roundup that had already been filed in eight New Jersey vicinages, all of which include Plaintiffs citing grievous injuries caused by their exposure to Roundup.

The petition, which was Plaintiffs’ second attempt to secure MCL designation for the Roundup mass tort, also highlighted a significant surge in filings, sharply contrasting with the earlier MCL designation petition submitted on January 22, 2024, which included only 10 plaintiffs across four counties and was previously rejected.
